I have a friend asking if would be possible to run a 02-07 cr top end with ignition.

??? 02-07 are case reed inducted.

I do not know anything about the cr stuff. That's why I'm asking here. He was curious about it. Because of the electric pv. He wants to put cr ignition on his r and thought he if it was possible. He could make his a pv'd motor that way.

No he cant use it on the trx/atc 250r bottom end.

FTZ does work with the CR cylinders on TRX bottom ends. I have the '91 style CR cylinder on my TRX bottom end which is a bolt on. On their website they show they also do the newer CR cylinders, but they require welding and modifications to the TRX cases. I have no idea what years of cylinders they consider "newer".

From the picture on their site, it looks to be pre 2002.

Those years of CR cylinders are the case reed design so they won't work.

But the idea of using the electric power valve is a good one. It would cure the issues the 250R cylinders have with the pressure operated PV's
