Title: Glamis New Year 2015
Post by: Rupp250 on October 16, 2014, 12:39:00 PM
Well there will be a couple of us in Glamis for this New Year. Would be nice to plan a meet up for a ride or just to toss the B.S. around. We will most likely be in the washes. I think I am going to get there Tuesday the 30th, and leaving either Friday or Saturday. I will be roughing it in a tent, 565miles one way is a long ways to pull the trailer. Figure I can just toss the bike in the bed of the truck and do 80mph the whole way instead of doing 60mph with a trailer.

So who is going? When you going? Where you staying?

But i was disappointed did not see many 250R's out there. I saw one 85 ATC and a white trx 250R that was it!
But what I did see was a ton of Polaris Razors they were out on full force.

Rupp, we lost 2 R's and a banshee riding from our camp by gecko to a bar in buttercup (I think), that was rough! The razors are definitely the most popular ride out there but I saw plenty of R's out there too

I was there from the 27th to the 2nd. Stayed by the road at Wash 7. I saw lots of R's 3 and 4 wheelers. Met a few fellow R riders too. Hoping to do it again next new years. Here is a pic of mine if any of you saw or met me.

Yep I believe I seen you on our way to glamis beach store and vendors. We were in wash 21. Nice and quite out there, and best of all no dust.

There was plenty of dust where we were. My bike has never been dirty like that. (Usually ride Winchester or Oregon Dunes.) Probably going to do wash 8 next time closer to the actual sand. We went to the drags most nights and like to be closer to the north end for that and Olds. I want to explore more to the south next trip though too. Didn't make it much further south than China Wall this trip.

Yeah being that deep it is pretty far from everything, and most people too. The new open area is great. We rode south of China most of the time. We went to Olds once and to the drags once and that it. Too many people around there during a holiday to have fun. I didn't even go up olds. We just parked in the back and to the side to watch the show for a little bit.
