What do you all use to strip paint of the cases if I want to repaint them. My backup engine is in amazing shape without any cracks, dents or wear marks but the paint has been worn off in a couple areas. Would like to re paint it but strip it first. I know I can have it sand blasted but depending on how it looks I might just leave it that natural cast finish also. I have a can of aircraft stripper that I bought but after thinking about it I don't want to use anything corrosive that may eat at the aluminum. Thanks for your help.

citrustrip in a spray can is what i used. worked pretty good. paint was off in just a few min. rustoleum and a few other companies makes a spray can stripper you can get at walmart. i suppose they all work about the same

Aircraft remover will not damage the cast aluminum.
