Title: clutch basket insulators.
Post by: d-rock on January 17, 2015, 01:25:53 AM
Hi guys. I was installing a new clutch basket today. When I pulled the gear off , I found the insulators completely deteriorated. Does anyone make replacements or do I have to roll the dice on ebay with a used basket ?
Thanks. Derek.

All the ones I have seen are in great condition. I am sure you could get one from a member here. I have a few extra.

I would chance this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/85-86-87-88-89-Honda-TRX250R-TRX-250R-ATC250R-ATC-Clutch-Basket-Core-Gear-ONLY-/281566764717?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item418eafdead&vxp=mtr

i cant see using 25yo cushions from ebay. unless of course thats the only option but there has to be a alternative. are cr125 or 250 not the same as what you need ?  you can buy them brandnew. knowing honda you would think several engines used the same cushions

I saw that basket on ebay, think I'm going to buy it.
The cushions are not serviceable , I didn't want to buy a new clutch basket just to see if the cushions are the same unless knew they were right.
Thanks Derek.

I see pro x does show rubbers for a cr250. I wonder if they are the same? Anybody have a cr250 basket they could look at?
