Title: sphynx head studs.
Post by: d-rock on January 29, 2015, 12:47:54 AM
I installed my head studs. They are too long. Anyone else have to cut them or install copper washers for spacers?
They are the studs and nuts that came with the cylinder. The special nuts are deep but not deep enough.
Thanks. Derek.

I didn't have to cut any off when I got mine from LED. Of course he might have prior to sending it to me.

I do use copper washers under the acorn nuts

What is the length of these head studs you were sent?

the studs measure 2.25 total length and 1.645 installed height.
the head measures .803 thick and nut is .713 deep. that leaves .129 left over.
3/16 would do it.

Mine are 1.650" installed also. But my head is 1.100 thick. So I see where you would have a problem
