Title: shock cover length?

I was looking for new shock covers and liked the k&k i found on ebay. There was 2 lengths, long travel and standard that says trx250r and others like yfz450 etc. I have standard length tripple rates and decided to measure my springs with my bike on a stand and suspenion hanging and came up with 12.5 inches. After reading the ad better it says the covers are 11inches. I think im gonna be upset but does anyone know if 11in will fit correct when the suspension isnt hanging on a stand?

Incase anyone likes those k&k shock covers they do cover the entire standard travel tripple rate springs perfectly
