How do I remove this collar in the swingarm? And why have my swingarm never had bearings

I tried using pullers and punbches without success. Ended up building a tool. Basically a bolt, nut and washers at both ends. Washers will sit on the bearing and end of the swingarm. In order to get washer to fit on the bearing side, I cut it into an oval shape. This allows it to slip in at an angle. Tightening the bolt and nut will pull the bearings out.
Once the bearing gets close to the edge it should be easy to tap out with a long punch. I typically use an extension, as they are rounded and won't damage the swingarm. If that won't work, use a socket or piece of pipe that has a slightly larger id than the swingarm pivot. Use it and the puller to pull the bearing all the way out.
Hope this helps
