I'm 39 live in south Mississippi, born and raised in south Louisiana. I took a little break from quads when my last build slung 2nd gear through the left casing. I sold and gave everything away and was done. But I realize how much I miss it, so I'm piecing together an 89. Thanks for the new site.

Welcome back!! its to hard to stay away from these machines!
-
It is discouraging to spend hundreds of hours on your current build and then the second gear thing brings you back to the beginning starting over. Me and my son both did that on his Puma. His did not go through the case but mine did. Makes you want to cry. Welcome back!

welcome back bryan(sp?)
-
Welcome back buddy! glad to see youre getting back in the saddle
-
Welcome back! Sorry to hear about your last build!
-
Thanks guys, yea it actually happened to 2 of my motors. A Puma and a proX 370. It is definitely discouraging after putting all the $ and time into them. I just have to keep it a Hobby and not let it turn I to an obsession ha.

Now I have a riding buddy!!! If he dont part it out within 2 months!!
-
I know you miss me Wayne haha. I need to get it together first. Bummed out about ladunes closing but we gonna make some trips to wiggins and LS
-
There are a couple people tossing around the idea of taking up the lease at the dunes.. Nothing set in stone yet. BUT yall will have a bunch of us from La going up there to wiggins to throw some mississippi sand.. welcome back again bryan!!
-
Yea Ben, y'all need to make a trip to Wiggins on a weekend when the weather is good. It's a cool place with cabin rentals, concession stand, and the guy who runs it Jeff makes some good barbecue burgers. They have a dozer they keep the track groomed
-
Go ahead and place your order for a burger......it will be ready about the time we get there.....
-
Welcome back Brian, we talked today to Joe at LA Dunes, he said he's got 30 days to move all his belongings and he said they are going to start to mine the sand and gravel again is last he heard. To keep that place going its costing him about 8k a month with lease and insurance..... That's tough to reach there per month..
-
Im still bummed about the Dunes!! :(
-
Oh it definitely sucks.. Im gonna hate selling the paddles for slicks
-
Sounds like Ben is afraid to come over here and sling some sand with us??

thanks Wes, what's the chances of someone else taking the place over. $8k a month is a lot of overhead.

Good to see you Piediddy. I dont think I've ever met you. I used to live in Picayune, (Hide-a-way-lake). I moved about two hours away a few years ago. My wife and I still go to Wiggins on occasion. If you ever see us come say hello! I usually have two matching white 89's and my LT500R with me when I go there. Hopefully I will have my ATC back together by the end of the year! Hope we get a chance to meet!

if i can Bryan to hurry up and build a bike, we can all go riding!! Especially at Little Sahara this fall!!
-
I am in Oklahoma until the first of October. Then I go back home. If you guys get up here anytime before then let me know! I saw someone putting together a ride later in the month of October, I dont know if I will want to make that drive again, but I might! I am thinking about spending New Years @ Sand Hill. if nothing else.

So, you gotta start slow. But you can ride! Most important IMO!
-
You rite Pumashine, as of now frame is silver vein, black wheels and orange plastics haha. I'm gonna get it running and maybe redo it in winter. I wanna do a fun Duner in the 86 colors and graphics. Even powdercoated Douglas wheels Gold. Always liked that look. It will just take time.
