Title: Quick VIN # help.....

I was trying to make out my VIN on my '86 TRX250R the other night.  It is very hard to read through the powder coat, but I think I have it.  The characters in parathesis are the two question, and the "#" are numerals for anonymity:

JH3TE1201(G)(C)######

The "G and C" look like they could be zeros but pretty sure they are letters, since the "G" would represent a 1986 model year, and the "C" would indicate it was built in Saitama Japan.  Am I right?  Can someone verify that the 10th and 11th characters should in deed be letters and not numerals?

The 10th and 11th characters are letters (kk) on a '89 title I have here.
