So I ordered a outer wears airbox cover 2 weeks ago and stilll havent got it. Item was coming from Indiana to Michigan. the tracking # shows last scan was Mar 17 departed Fort Wayne. should have arrived the 18 or 19th. On the 23 I made an inquiry and the PO got back with me the next day saying that things are backed up and I should be getting it. Well here is a week later from then and no show. Tracking # still shows last scan departed Fort Wayne on the 17th. A couple months ago I had to go through this with another item and when looking up track # it showed stuff like case opened etc.... case closed and it arrived. this time none of that. Also ordered a needle and it showed up in a plastic bag from PO with a sticker from them about possible damage. The original package was tore open.
I have heard others around my area having problems from the PO. anyone else having a bunch of problems from them lately?
One last thing I can't get answers from them where its at so do I make a claim with Paypal or what? the person I bought the part from shipped it out right away so its not their fault.

The post office is extremely slow lately. They are downsizing and have shut down several offices.. Only reason I know that is I ordered some stuff for a rifle few weeks ago and they had a disclaimer on the page for post office... 2 day took about 3 weeks

ya, they are downsizing, and have been considerably since 2013. this year they are closing 82 mail sorting facilities nationwide. heres an article about it in our local newspaper just yesterday

I have always rant about the PO. They have horrible service, no goo way to track things, and don't care whether they deliver your packages or not, and can't be held responsible. They lost a very valuable after market shock of mine one and I went rounds with them only to find out all of the above. They didn't really care that they lost my package. Didn't care whether they got my business or not. Couldn't find my shock because they have no way to ship. They don't even have direct numbers to call from one warehouse to the next. And because the numbers have faded off of my insurance receipt, they wouldn't pay for the shock. Turns out, they have no database in their ENTIRE system that stores receipts from their sales. So the only numbers in their entire business system that said my shock was insured were on my receipt and they had faded. The same went for the tracking number. Without the receipt they give you with the tracking, they have no way to find the tracking number of your package. And they showed me in writing that they can't be held responsible for any package that they lose. It took them a couple months but they finally found the package, but only the package. There was a big gaping hole in the bottom corner of the box and the shock was missing. They said they continued looking but never found a shock. How do you not notice a rear shock with remote reservoir sitting on the floor or in a truck?! My guess is, somebody found my shock and decided they wanted it. And they funny thing is it was a heavy duty box and well packaged. I wonder if someone even went to the point of looking on the package description, opened it, saw what it was, and decided to make a quick buck off of ebay. They are completely worthless in my opinion!

You guys must live to far away, from a major city. My stuff comes in to Miami, next day to my little town and out for delivery. I love the P.O. :encouragement:

My town definitely isn't as big as Miami, but I live in one of the 4 largest cities in Tennessee. You would think they would give a crap.

I sent a frame from WV to CA a few weeks ago. Frame made it there in 7 or 8 days. I mailed the title at the same time in a separate envelope and it still hasn't shown up.

If part is valuable or expensive please use or consider using UPS or fed ex. I just had USPS lose a few weeks ago a pair of edelbrock cylinder heads with complete gasket set and all ARP bolts. Luckily for me online co sent me another set of parts, lesson learned.

Thanks for the kind words...opinions are like a$$holes everybody has one :D been there for 14 years and enjoy it pays well also...it don't matter if it's fedex ups or USPS things are gonna get damaged or lost its just part of it...I could go on but u get my point!!!

It's nothing personal, Ryano. I have several family members at the USPS as well. I've had great success over the years with priority mail, but first class is very lacking nowadays with the closure of so many processing centers.

Ah it's all good I agree it took me 8 days to get a fuel filter from SC and it's the next state over from me lol...just like anything else people are always quick to point out the bad shit a company has done or bad experiences they've had with a company...never anything positive......just gets old

Hahaha! Beware the one who thinks their asshole doesn't stink!

I have shipped over 100 packages USPS priority. Each one got delivered in 2 or 3 days. Not one missing!

It's not the workers that are the problem, ryano. If management at the top doesn't care, it will be reflected all the way down to the bottom. It's just disappointing to see.

You just jinxed yourself Tony...lol. Priority is the only way to go imo with usps or maybe first class. I sent a package out for the wife standard post from WI to New Jersey and it took two weeks to get there. It sits at alot of these sorting places and doesn't move. I send a grab bar priority from WI to Utah and it is there in 2 days.

Yes, you are right. 1st class gets there in 3 to 4 days. I call it snail mail

i used to have some confidence in usps but lately they seem more like incompetant bafoons. probly why theyre bankrupt and ready to go tits up. waiting on about 6 items. one has been stuck in denver for over a week. couple others are going the wrong direction according to the tracking numbers
