Title: Lonestar Swingarm Bearings
Post by: spintly on April 07, 2015, 11:40:25 AM
My lonestar swingarm needs swingarm bearings.  Does the lonestar swingarm use OEM Honda needle bearings or do they use needle bearings specific to Lonestar?  I have used Pivotworks swingarm bearings in my stocker, but didn't know if they would work in my lonestar.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I believe the 86-87 are different than the 88-89 so depending on your year you may have to get a specific kit. Might not hurt to call LSR and ask too.

lsr said they were different When I Called them. So I ordered them. I didn't check compared to OEM but I did notice they are different inside as the needle bearing is two instead of one straight across. I haven't installed them yet I can get a little more specific tonight.

Just as an FYI.  I ordered the 88-89 Pivot works swingarm bearing kit from ebay for $40.  The bearings, spacer tube, dust seals and collars were correct for the Lonestar swingarm, but the spacers were not.  They were too long.  I could have machined them down, but my old ones were in good shape, so I used them.  So you can buy just the bearings from Lonestar for $40+shipping or buy the Pivot works kit for $40 shipped and get the bearings, spacer tube and dust seals and caps.
