Post by: T8R6X on July 21, 2013, 05:46:32 PM
Ive been a member at .net for a few years now I thought I loved it! After a while I noticed what was going on and started getting burned out to the point I didn't want to mess with the R. Now that this site is up its truly amazing the difference being around a bunch of r enthusiast's in really like! A huge thank you to all involved making this site.

This is a fresh site, but the phrase "wise beyond his years definately applies here.  The amount of great information posted here in such a short time is amazing.  The tech section is like an old library already.  Jon and Tony and anybody else involved are doing a great job.

That is why I bugged Jason PDXTRX for two weeks before he joined up. I asked him to put this site ahead of his work on the current build for an hour. The passion Jason has for the 250r is only comparable to Troy spending 3 years of time building a bike with the same passion tackling every problem with inspiration and ingenuity. It costs more than you can afford but in the end its all worth every minute of time spent building the bike no one will ever forget. I think most of us were in depression for a month when Troy announced the project had ended. Many ideas were hatched and many useful technology tools were used to create for example the graph-ix kits Troy built.

I love it because it's ours and not theirs. We are truly dedicated to the R and as Puma stated, we all have passion for our quads. It is an art form.

How do you top that........Agreed!!!!

I'm just a 46 yr old Karate guy that has been doing martial arts for 34 yrs. teaching and running a dojo for 30.. it's my main passion to help others in this world.  Last couple years I needed something that would be new to learn and not just be the master teacher and mentor. Granted i love the harley, scuba diving and other activities but i wanted to learn. So I chose something totally different to keep the brain off just the biz. So I choose the other thing I'm passionate about. Goin fast and ripping a R. So I bought one two years ago after loving and selling my first one I bought off the showroom floor in 86.  I didn't want a poke and a payment.. to easy and boring. Anyone can do that. Doing research on the R I came to sites that had members with the same passion as I. Well what I thought was my strong passion. I met and watched a lot of you that had a much greater passion and certainly unmeasurable knowledge than I did for the R. I knew that on my desk or couch or patio I could secretly learn from all the wise ones. To be a student again. Most of what you guys talk about is still French to me but that is what inspires me! Soo in the future when I continue to ask newbie questions please be patient. I can only learn by asking questions. They may seem silly or wasteful but it is the only way someone learns. Like I tell all my students there is no dumb questions. Besides, I can work on my own machine and that is therapy in itself.  My goal now is to have enough confidence to break down an engine, learn the tranny and rebuild one.
You guys here are dedicated and passionate. Just what I want to be around. Sorry for the novel. Finally had to get it out. Lol

An open forum. Topics, options and opinions can be discussed here without being bulldozed over again and again by one member attempting to make a profit off of the threads impression. It is ran by members and 250r freaks for members and 250r freaks.

I always wondered why .net did not ever get the sponsorship of ESR? Jon called and explained to Eddie what was going on. Eddie has been around a lot longer than Carlos. He already knew what was going on. Jon got a year sponsorship without question and Eddie would not take a discount for a year paid in advance. What does this tell you about this site?

.net was like riding a stock R for years. It gets boring. So what do you do? You mod that $hit. Which is what .org has done. Now its exciting again!! Nice job guys!!
