Post by: Pj Uptmor on May 09, 2015, 03:29:54 PM
I need some information on shipping a frame. Who to fed ex ups r mail? Do I build  a crate r wrap the frame with shrink wrap or just send the frame as is? Is there anything else that I'm missing that I need to know on sending a frame?

I have had one shipped to me via fedex ground. wrapped in stretch wrap. cover all the pointy edges and make some handles for the courier. if it has a removable frame, stuff it inside the frame. you could get boxes from uhaul

 best regards

I cut some cardboard and made a frame skid plate design and used foam as cushion. Then i cut some more cardboard to put on the sides and shrink wrapped it all.

I shipped fedex to NY from TX and almost cost me $200.

I bought a frame and told him to ship greyhound from FL to TX and it came out to $74 with insurance. Plus greyhound opens and ships on sundays and i got it in 3 days.

Shipping Fed Ex to Hawaii is $500. They fly them over instead of taking the slow boast.

Try fastenal. Way easy to deal with and really good pricing.
