Who's got them and let's see what you guys have and have built up.

99 Tacoma I built when I was 19, 79 f250 snow fighter Dana 60 full locked, 14 bolt discs gussetted trussed and mini spool, dual cases, 12 inch Alcan rear springs 8 inch front Alcan springs, high steer, custom aluminum flat bed set up to take compressors and cylinders in and out of the brush for equipment, 49" Iroks on H1 wheels. I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff I miss having it but I don't miss the broken parts.

Thats cool Jared. I got my fj40 when I was 19 also. Picked it up in 94 with a busted t-case. I got it as it sits with 4" lift & the LC4WD steering correction already done. It has the original drivetrain & 2F L6. Only mods I did was an offenhauser dual port intake, Holley 390 & tri-Y header. It's been rode hard & put away wet too many times & is waiting for a restoration like the rest of my old rides:

And the scale RC fj40 crawler I built, I have another body I'm going to paint to match the real fj40:

That's bad ass Kevin I've always loved the first gen Land Cruisers and they are tough rigs

Thank you... There extremely tough! It never broke down or left me stranded once. My buddies Jeeps on the other hand are another story:stirthepot:. I ran the crap out of it for 15 years & used to jump it at the dunes all the time. Worst thing that ever happened was cracking a t-case housing & shearing the rivets on the right front shock tower from jumping but it still got me home. The front & rear diff's & drive lines are really sloppy now so I haven't ran it since 09.

I wouldn't mind building something that was lifted. But I tow a good sized tractor with an 18ft deck over quite often, and I wouldn't be able to do that with a lift kit.

These guys running around with chinese wheels on their American truck with their china made lift kits really grind my gears

I wouldn't mind putting some nice American made wheels and bigger tires on my truck though

When I had the shafts built up for that truck I used six states in Portland they were the cheapest I could find, heck they are on he log trucks drive shafts.

Mine was a spare rig at that point I'd drive it some but I'd trailer it if I was going anywhere with it mainly.

Now I would definitely like to build a spare rig that was lifted. Too many hobbies though lol.

My buddy put a 6-inch lift on his 2500HD, now the transmission gets too hot when he's towing decently heavy loads. I don't get why he did it

Why would you need to? When I had my duramax I put 35's under on H2 wheels without any lift.

My lifted truck. It is 100% a worthless 4x4 compared to what you boys are posting. F150, 6" Procomp, 35's. Those dick ceapek in the photo were garbage. I just replaced with Mickey Thompson and the tire ride quality is 500% better. The 20" wheel size wasn't my choice, it was all set up like this when I got it.

no pics but i built a `99 dakota solid axle swapped the front to a dana 60 and tru a dans 60 in the rear  with 38s and about 10 inches of lift sold after i realized i was spending $30 a day in gas just to look cool driving to work and back. would like to have a jeep or landcruiser  on 35s now but will probably stick wth the RZR for now. 1 money pit at a time my wife says!

I always wanted a 4x4. I chose to stay 2wd because the truck would be my daily. If I broke it on the weekend I couldn't get to work on Monday. I figured I'd be better off building a quad. If its broken. Its broken. I'll go to work on the weekend.

I ended up with a GMC sierra. NBSEC. 1 new car I ever bought. And has yet to let me down

I can never remember how to get a picture on here, so bear with me on trying this....Basically I have 2: a '83 S-10 Blazer and a '77 GMC truck. Had the S-10 since '89. It has a 3" body lift, 4-inch suspension lift and running 33-inch tires. Long story-shortened: body rotted- bound up steering, parked it, bought a new body from AZ for it, started the swap, have yet to finish, also started a straight axle conversion for the front. Final plans: leaf springs all around, Dana 44 axles at both ends, locked and 35-inch Pittbull Rockers under it. Oh, with the new body on it! The GMC I've owned since 1980. Re-built the body 3 times, now on the 4th go-round. Has a 4-inch lift and 33-inch tires now, going to go to 35-inch tires when I get the new body on it.

Heck I'd just flat bed it and make a removable plate for winter that bolts on.
