Title: Number plate
Post by: PNWrider on May 22, 2015, 04:06:22 PM
Just wondering how all you racers have your number plates attached to your R's. I feel like I'm missing some hardware on my rear plate. Post pictures of your front and rear plates. Especially with duncan front bumpers

I just used zip ties. Haven't had a problem.

My plates only came with zip ties anyway. You must have got the super deluxe kit haha

I did stickers on my hood for the front. I liked how that looked better than the plate on the bumper. Just personal preference. Although the plate would work good as a mud blocker lol

Yeah I was thinking zip ties for the rear plate. I was messing with my R yesterday and think I figured out a solution  I used my old brake light brackets and it fits pretty well. For the front it looks like I'll have to actually put some sticker numbers on the hood, a zip tied front plate on the bumper looked kindve funky on my duncan racing bumper

Pretty sure the ac rear grab bars have tabs welded in place to mount the plate to. You could use bolts to attach.

Yeah I realized my grab bar just didn't have the brackets

When I was younger and use to race my blaster I made a rear number plater out of a food tray. I just cut it to a size similar to a store bought # plate. I zip tied it to my grab bar just like the picture here. It worked good and looked way better then what most other guys at the track came up with.(http://forums.trx250r.org/vbulletin_imports/219_5422_2017-04-18_760.png)

I cut this one for Johann Morse. Going up front on his drag bike. Holes for screws or zip ties

I ziptied the front one and the rear one came with mounting hardware from AC.
