Title: Cable guide
Post by: Allison#51 on June 27, 2015, 02:04:49 PM
Is there a cheaper easier to find version of the Baldwin cable guide out there? I'm not sure if I have a stock one around so I'm just looking for ideas. I might make one too.

I never seen anyone but Baldwin make them.  i believe Baldwin recently sold off all the old inventory of the cable guides.  cheapest option is to use the stock guide or look for a used Baldwin guide.  Maybe someone hoarding a new one will sell it to you  for what it cost new but i doubt it.

If Tony doesn't make them get in touch with Craig Greenwood at Barnharts Honda in PA.  You can find him on the various R pages on facebook.  He can fill you in as he will have these and airbox plugs available.

I made up some aluminum cable guides today. The picture of the Baldwin is approximately 2X the size of the real guide.

Of course I had to polish one for the mini-tooth.

Do you have to buy powder or do you have anything that is not spoken for. Just wondering what color you might have? I was considering painting black or red.

I have black, a couple different, reds, and I think I have some silver left. I can do some chrome powder. Everybody list what color they want and I'll check to see what I have and post links to the specific colors I have. Id ove to hook everyone up with some color!!! The only thing I ask is to do them l at the same time so you will all have to get with Tony when he has enough made and he can send them all to me at once. After there coated I'll send them out to you guys. It sounds overly complicated lol but i want to help you all out! Of course this is if Tony agrees with this "plan" haha

If aluminum I'd polish. If stainless I'd leave plain or polish. If powder I'd go black. I like to keep it simple. And cheap.

Emory will have these on Thursday. He has 30 pieces so you will need to request a quantity and color. The extra's will be done in the silver, black or red.

ok to make this easier on me lets do it this way.......

"your name" "qty" "color"

copy and paste the list and reply to this thread. this way i have a visual on how many of each color i have to do. im spraying these ALL at ONCE! i will not be stuck doing multiple color changes for one tiny part. as of yet payment is not worked out so just worry about quantity and color at the moment.

Ok guys I was hoping to get a pic in the sun but I just now got home and didn't get these done till after dark yesterday. The lighting doesn't give the red justice. I'll try to snap another tomorrow but I diddnt want to wait to post these. These are not all of them. There are still a few uncoated just in case some people diddnt get the color they wanted. Send me a pm and I'll give you my PayPal addy. Please please please comment on the payment with the color you want! I NEVER ask for a gift payment on anything I sell but I'm going to request it for this sale. Otherwise you can pay the fees if you don't want to send as a gift. The funky colored ones are called silver artery. I think it's a pretty cool color myself.
$7 for the guides
$5.25 for flat rate shipping
$12.25 total shipped to your door
