I know many have probably already seen this but I thought I would post it. Can't wait to see what the timing curves look like.

So you can use any 2002-2007 ignition now?
-
Ditto. Does this mean the 02-07 ignition system can be used and is just as good (or better?) than the 01?
-
Yes, it sounds like the plate is designed to use the 02-07 cr250 ignitionn (since the 2001 cdi is d/c from honda). Not sure where the timing will fall that will have to be determined to compare to the 01 setups. I am going to pick one up in a couple of days and test it out. I am sure eddie and tom have some good info since they designed the new plate.

Very curious on this!
-
That's awesome. Way to go ESR! way to keep up with changing times

Just called ESR about using the 2002-07 ignition system on the 250R. They have the billet stator mounting plate (see website) and will be testing the entire system this week. I was told the new system has a more complicated wiring harness and will cost $100 more than the previous setup. So, instead of $599 it will be $699.

Hats off to Eddie and Tom for doing this. Just as the CDI's were getting hard to find they come up with another solution. Really anxious to see the timing curve comparisons.

Did they say when the new complete system will be up for sale?
-
They said to call back next week, so it could be as early as a week from now.

I know the 02-07 run a capacitor/regulator in the system, so it will not be as tidy as he 00-01 but this is great that they are doing this.

anyone found out any info on the timing curves of these ignitions yet? or just how they stack up to the 2001 kits?
