Title: what size paddle tires?

what size? and what kind of paddles should I get for my 86 stock R? it has a esr trx5 pipe and silencer other than that its stock.the sand i'll be drag racing in is damp sand clay mostly sand than clay and the sand i'll be riding in will be dry like dune sand.

8 paddle 20" hauler on 13x38-40 gear.  Paddle is cheap, should be easy to find.  I wouldn't bother going to a 22" carcass tire unless you get serious bout racing and hopping up the R

i agree with 8 paddle 20". theres some 7 paddle out there too that will also work well just to give you more options if your looking to buy used

so 8 paddle 20's might be my best bet.what size wheel 8,9,or10?should i change carbs to?the reason i ask we had a drag race to other day and i was getting out run by a bike are so by some 450's and can am 1000 4x4 I currently have tuff tamers on my R.everybody else was running holeshots and ambush tires.

If your bike is stock changing tires won't allow you to out run any 450s.....   If you want a good sand tire skat trak haulers are the absolute best no doubt! But they are not cheap they are prob the most expensive tire you can get.  I would def run a 8" wheel with some 20" tires 7 paddle if your keeping the motor stock 8 paddle if you plan to upgrade one day.. If you want a different carb i would recommend a kehin 38 mm air Stryker they have great throttle response
