This "makeover" was supposed to just be a updated motor, but I found a couple cracks on the frame so I ended up starting a more complete restoration on my 87...
Starting with a mint titled 1987 frame... Had it powdered Bengal red... Just got it back and went through and re-tapped every bolt hole to clean up the PC...

Out with the old motor, and in with the new....
New BHP long rod engine, low-mid range porting, new hot rods crank, oem bearings/seals, 89 clutch update, new never run OEM stator and flywheel, Hinson basket...case repair by Dave Moore.... All hardware freshly plated

looks like you are doing it right. I'm sure it'll be nice when you are done.

Looking good, how's the zilla running as well?

Thanks guys... come on Skeans! Not supposed to get a garage queen dirty!! Shes parked nicely in the back of the garage... gotta fix a tire and get her fired up this fall... too many irons in the fire!

Had a kid free day yesterday so made a little more progress...
Got a roller loosely bolted up, rebuilt the rear linkage, got the BHP motor in, NOS rear shamrocks (still need to get new rings)... Getting closer....
