I am working on an 88-89 NoLink Roll swinger and the needle bearing races have become one with the swingarm. I have tried heat and a hammer. No progress. I have a blind bearing puller that also did not move them.
My question is do Roll swingarms have some kind of stop for the needle bearings? I cannot for the life of me figure this out and I have successfully solved this issue on other swingers so its not like its my first time messing with this.
Thanks, Blake

If it's frozen from rust, I have heard Kroil is some really good stuff. Never tried it myself.

Best stuff is half acetone and half atf nothing available will touch that mix for breaking rust

I had this same problem. I thought my Laeger 88-89 swingarm had steps in the pivot tube that the needle bearings sat up against. Turned out they were just seized in there and I had to cut/rip them out. No step in the tube

I ordered a needle bearing kit from Pivot Works but I'm getting the Poly bushings from atvbushings.com because I have a new hate for needle bearings.
I built this fixture from wood to help assist the pounding lol (http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/15/6afcca821c0f3e431dfdded1552ca468.jpg)

Chisel time. A little scarring in the tube won't hurt the new bearings. Just file/grind out any burs.

ive used a punch or crappy flat head and pounded it between the bearing OD and the swinger ID. once you get it started you should be able to split whats left and peel it out. at least ive had luck doing it that way before

Just used Kroil for the first time recently. I highly recommend it. Nice fixture. Those suckers are coming OUT BABY
