Title: 250R motor stand give away contest for that spare motor you are building.
Post by: Pumashine on September 19, 2015, 11:10:00 AM: I was :thinking: there were some lonely 250r motors out there stored as seconds that were in need of a stand too keep them off the floor/table. The leading cause of case failure besides chain derailment it a drain plug smashed into the bottom of the case. So what I was thinking was to have a drawing using a submitted pics of your spare motor in need of a stand. Each motor entered in the contest will be entered into a basket of names with every other participant. Submissions will be gathered until 12 PM Wednesday September 30th. Winners will be announced Thursday October 1st. Only one motor per entry but you can enter as many different motors as you wish.

Ah yes, the 2X4 box was what everyone was using 25 years ago. Still makes a neat stash!!!

Took many long hours of searching to aquire all the fine grade #2 pine and special galvanized drywall screws.

Damn, some of these motors are ugly in need of TLC. When I see a whole motor painted rattle can blue or red I always wonder :wtf?:

I'm not complaining, but definately going to remove the suzuki looking blue before that goes anywhere near my R. the cylinder is 66.5mm bore on that one too.

The picture in the center, I got that engine for $325 and a 3 hour drive each way. that cylinder is still an original bore.

At those prices, I don't care how ugly they are!

True but its just a pain to remove the off color paint. If the owner had just left it OEM I am sure it would sell quicker.

Post by: Pumashine on October 01, 2015, 10:21:34 PM: So I cut up 67 1 inch blue squares of paper and wrote 1-67 on each piece. Put them in a cardboard box and mixed them up real good.
