So today was fun. Absolutely loving my top end now. Got it dialed in pretty good I think. Eddie hooked me up with a higher compression dome that really woke up the bottom end and helped me hold my own against the 450's. Got third on the holeshot. Took a different line through the trees and jumped up into 2nd. Then took to the water and got in front to first. I even got to hold onto it for a few laps. Then an LT-R got around me and I was able to keep up for a few laps before I had to back down. This time it wasn't the machine at all. There was power where I needed it. I'm just not in as good of shape as I use to be. lol Pushing 40 and still hard at it though. Dealing with tennis elbow too for the last few weeks. I was a hot mess but had a blast. I'll take a second place. No shame in that.
Here's the You Tube link of the first lap:

Thanks guys. And I am very glad I didn't let her go. I was extremely pleased with how the motor pulled. I picked a bad line on the start. I hit gravel about 20 feet before everyone else did and didn't get the jump I'd hoped for. Otherwise she does pretty well about beating the others into the first corner. Couple races left. I'll try and get the holeshot next time so ya'll don't think I'm just talking crap. lol

Nice video!
One thing I noticed is how nice you guys were with the guy on the Yamaha who stalled in the one corner. In Ohio on the local XC series, or the GNCC, guys would be running you over plowing you out of the way to get around. I kept waiting for you to run over the bushes to get around him lol

Everyone knows everyone pretty well in this series. I actually feel kinda bad I didn't help but I don't think there was much I could have done except help move him out of the way but then the other guys would have gone around me before I would have made it back to my bike. I did look around for another out but there really wasn't any. You have to be careful forging new trails here in Texas. These Mesquite trees will tear your tires up in no time.

Good video and good riding

Old post I know but if you didn't't go through that mudhole it looked like that Yamaha would have been hard to pass. Very good video
