Here's what happens when your airbox drain clogs up

Holy crap on a cracker! Ya know, mud has a very high octane rating, Tbone. You may not be set up for that kind of fuel. LOL

Man that's ugly! You must have been turning some serious RPM's to suck in that much water and mud before the motor died. Looks like its time to split some cases.

Daaaang!!  Did you enter your quad into a mud-rasslin' competition?  This all Troy's fault for not getting u that airbox in time lol.  That really sucks

I don't think I have ever seen that much mud in a motor! I wonder if that rod is a little shorter..

I think the reason there's that much mud/water in it is because the piston was at TDC when it stopped, so it just ran right in there. Nothing could escape out the drain plug.

When I got it home there was 4" of water in the airbox

Looks like he is mixing mud and water at a ratio of about 20 to 1 or is that some type of  family secret blend?

Were you racing underwater? I thought Quads were all terrain, not under water vehicles. Wash that baby off and oil well before restarting. Might try a water sled next time.

Ouch Ouch Ouch!  Wasn't this a new build over the last winter?  How does the cylinder wall look?  Poor sphynx.

Ok I just looked and I don't have any pics on my phone. I'm on my way out of town for the weekend. Bug me sun evening and I'll get some pics when I get home. Basically it's just a shop vac hose. The bigger one, 2" iirc. I have a 363 and when I went from an open top aftermarket air box to a closed box with the snorkel and I diddnt even have to change jetting. It flows enough air
