Title: suggestion: GTG meetup and event section

Thought this might be a nice idea to add to the site.  I've already met 3 forum members on here, all great people and would like to meet more and thought something like this would help.  

 I'm also thinking it should be a members only section if you decide to do it.


whats your thoughts?

i like it, would also be good for people moving to new areas with no knowldge of local places to ride!

Are people wanting to break this up by region or just a single section?

I think a single section.  It would make it easier to find whats happening, especially if you are willing to drive a little.    Maybe if it ever gets too busy to sort through consider splitting it in to regions.

I think it's a great idea. I attend a couple different riding events every year in PA and WV and it would be great if a calendar of events for members could be posted that way everyone would have plenty of time to plan ahead for events. It would be great to have member meets throughout the year.

This is good brainstorming.  Note that we already have a true calendar (found on the subnav menu directly below the Tech & How To Guides tab).  We can explore adding a single "group all" section for this purpose to the forum.
