Title: Porting ?
Post by: hickwheeler on January 02, 2016, 11:39:06 AM
I think it is time to do a new piston. Wondering if it is worth my time to clean up the ports on my cylinder. If had the extra money right now it would got to Pete. But figured if will I have it apart might try to get just a bit more out of it. Without screwing it up.

It doesn't hurt to clean up the casting flaws and polish the exhaust port out.

I have not had it all the way apart. But looks untouched from the intake side.

If not ported I'd try to get a few hundo for porting and head work or get the piston kit and gaskets and hold off until you can port it. Porting is the best mod imo. If you insist on riding and can't wait for porting then just clean up any ruff casting maybe
