Title: '76 John Deere Two Stroke Project
Post by: Allison#51 on January 30, 2016, 11:30:52 PM
Figured you guys might have some appreciation for this. Just finished up this 1976 John Deere Cyclone 440 for a buddy earlier this week. I put a top end, crank seals, fixed a bunch of small issues, tuned it, and did some break in. It was a fun project. These old sleds are neat!

That's just plain weird. Fricken small when the Trans is off it. Time to slap twin mani, carbs and exhaust on that deere

I didn't get any vids unfortunately. This thing is not a high performance machine by any means. Haha you should feel how heavy the flywheel is.. Steel reed petals.. It would be a lot of work to make it fast but it does alright for what it is. Hard not to have a smile on your face when your riding it. The guy I did it for has three of them and seems really happy with it. He's gonna send me the 340 next.
