Title: Need Help!!!!! swingarm info
Post by: fast350r on February 09, 2016, 09:44:18 AM
I am trying to buy a Ti 450r swing arm, I know it will bolt up in the front no problem but I need to know if I use all 250r components , Carrier, axle , sprocket hub and brake hub will it all line up.

Basically is the round area were the carrier sits the same width from 450r to 250r?

The 450 carrier is a little bit narrower. My buddy is using it and he said it lines up just fine. You can use a 250r /400ex carrier. With 450r carrier you would use the 450r parts and the 250r carrier 250r parts.

So I can safely buy that 450r swing arm and put my 250r carrier and run all my 250r components? I need to be sure that arm is some serious coin.

I can't find the pics but he used the 250r carrier and align the chain then tightened down the pinch bolts where he wanted it. If I remember right, there was a little bit of a gap between the carrier and swing arm on the sprocket side. The O. D.  of the carriers are the same. The best thing to do at the motor mount is use the 450r bearing races and shorten them about 1/4" each.
