Has anyone tried the cr250 ignition with lighting coil from service Honda?
I got this off of there site.

2000-2001 CR250 , 130 watt lighting kits with Vortex 10x map CDI

also available currently! $953.19

The Vortex 10x map CDI's are programmable,and the programming

software is available directly through Vortex.

The Vortex CDI can be purchased separately: $535.95

I would recomend using the stock stator as a charging coil with a trail tech regulator and battery. Then you can use an MSD 4217. You will have to make a custom map. There are plenty of pictures on here and other sites where people have plotted out the mapping of a few different cr and trx CDIs

Some day when I get the time I'm going to mount a small motorcycle battery and 6" led light bar. It will run off the battery for more than 12 hrs straight without a recharge.
