Title: Newbie from New Jersey-looking to rebuild and old 89 trx 250r from years past

Good morning, wanted to introduce myself here. I have a 89 trx 250r that's been sitting in garage for the past 8 years, was bought as a solid rider but noticed immediately issues, took it apart for rebuilding and there it sat all these years. I am in the Heavy Highway construction field so time and energy usually is at a premium, finally after all these years are getting it up on the workhorses for a final build.
Being away from these machines for some time I have lost some knowledge and from looking at the forum I am going to need lots of help, hope I can help others out in some form as well. I have purchased some Items from Pumashine in years past, I see he is still at it, I think his products are well made, and in fact have a set of his gussets on this build frame wise.
I wanted to start a thread on my build, where would the proper place be for this? Also, I am in need of parts for the project and have some questions already 2 days into the rebuild.

Welcome and glad to see your bringing a 250r back from the resting. There is a build thread, section for you to post. Everyone here is very helpful. We have a lot of achieved information. Good luck with the rebuild.

welcome to the site .  Good to see another member from n.j. here ,I am in south jersey. their is plenty of people here with good 250r knowledge an you should be able to find the parts in the for sale section. good luck with your build.

Hunterdon County currently. Ocean isnt that far for me!

Seems like I need a ton of help on the project. I think the previous owner had a ATC engine in here, so some to all of the brackets are wrong, missing parts, and just general knowledge would be a grateful help!

Will start a thread in the build section, post some picture there tonight. Did some general assembly on it today, missing spindles, engine mounts fronts and some rubber grommets.

I got a buddy who rides a dirt bike that lives in Lebanon who comes down here to ride quite often. Beautiful area up there.

Lebanon right here- 5 minutes away from me, maybe I know him/her lol
