Title: New to 2stroke need help building mine?

I just bought a 1986 trx 250r it has k&n air filter and Curtis sparks full exhaust but while I was riding it this weekend I blew the muffler off the front twice replaced the springs but now it won't hit the power band for some reason? Please help! Maybe the top end?

It was black when I pulled it out and I replaced it with a new one also?

It was probably pushing the pipe off and going extremely lean. I would pull the head and check what the piston looks like.
