i recently got into cerakote high temp coatings. the Glacier series is good to over 2000 deg f. this is the pipe for my personal bike. i plan to rivet the ESR name plate back on.

have you sprayed any exhaust parts? im just wondering how it holds up to getting beat on.

Looks good man. I've never used it but I hear it's pretty tough! A lot of guys use it for putting camo on guns

yea same company but two different series of paint. ive only ever heard good things about both the high temp and the gun coatings

Ive mostly cerakoted gun parts but I did a few exhaust parts and it seemed to scratch easy.

Interesting. Curious to see how this holds up. dem3500 - say we wanted to protect a raw pipe, what options do we have there?

well theres a handfull of different high temp cerakote colors. the glacier series (black and silver only) are good for 2000 deg f. all the others which have a few more colors are good to 1800 deg f. theres clears too but there only rated for 1100 deg f and i havent done any research to see if thats hot enough. id say it would be fine on a pipe but not sure about the head tube. i honestly dont know. this summer i will do a little bit of hands on with a quality IR thermometer to see what gets to what temp.

i dont endorse cerakote but as of now there the only ceramic i use and i dont have any plans to change or even look elsewhere. there reputation speaks for itself.
