Any of you seen on the news, what the mayors wanting to do to the bikes & quads, riders are riding on the streets of NY city.
Wants to take them & crush them. Would it be a better idea, to take them & find out where they were stolen from first, so maybe the real owners could get them back.

Does anything in that city, surprise people? :rapture:

In Philly they get auctioned off

Neil,
I don't see anything in the article that I read about these quads and dirtbikes being stolen. One only has to spend a couple minutes on Youtube to find numerous videos of inner city gangs, etc taking over whole city streets and highways riding quads and dirtbikes. I can understand New York City's frustration when a group of these people take over part of the city and cause total chaos.
I would have no issue standing behind the mayor for not tolerating this BS. If he has to crush a few to get the point across that this behavior won't be tolerated, well, they've been warned.

I wanna say they are just gonna impound them an crush them without looking to see if their stolen .

With all the governments needing money these days, why crush them? Just auction them off and pocket the cash? That would be a better idea. If the law states that it is illegal to operate them on the streets, the operator should be punished. And if the vehicles are stolen, they should be returned to their rightful owners and charges pressed.

Crush the scumbag pos on it instead imo.

This is the kind of advertisement we do not need. I can't blame the mayor for what he wants to do. Shit run the law breakers over for all I care. They are knowingly breaking the law.
What bothers me the most is that we have hard enough time finding tracks and land to ride on freely and legally. People that are not in the know about ATV and dirtbike riding will automatically think an ATV or dirtbike is just bad news.
These bad apples are ruining it for us as a bunch.

How the hell is crushing the bikes going to have any effect? They'll just steal more. I doubt they care about stuff that isn't even theirs getting crushed.
Crush a bunch of people's stolen property. What a brilliant idea
-
True T. They didnt pay for it anyway so there will just be another stolen bike very soon. I like the intentions and desire to do something about these pos scum bags instead of doing nothing like most places but this wont be the answer.

with the total amount of what it costs any government agency to enact any program,,,,,,,,,, it would be cheaper to contract it out to the private sector ,,,, let them do the research and return them for a fee,,, because fining the scumbags will produce very little if anything,,,,,
