Title: Duncan pc2000 265pv questions
Post by: Troy on May 02, 2016, 02:28:59 PM
I bought this cylinder used in the early 2000s.  I was wondering if anyone can tell me by looking at the pic how old this thing is, and did they all have Paul Turner etched on them or does that have something to do with porting?  Are these any different from the new ones?  Also when I bought it the guy said it needs to be ran on race fuel, so I always did but never thought it really had that much compression.  So I'm going to do a compression test on it and was wondering what it should have to need race fuel.  Maybe it just needs to be freshened up.(http://forums.trx250r.org/vbulletin_imports/1760_7685_2017-04-18_317.jpg)

Here's everything you need to know. The newer cylinders have "PC2000" cast in to the lower part of the cylinder

Thanks Tbone, thats a great help.  I think I will order a rebuild kit along with some longer studs.
