Post by: Burns363R on May 20, 2016, 10:02:44 PM
So heres is a picture of my new auto clutch setup, and also my 4.0 Gal IMS drybreak in action.  Its very sweet.  The picture in the yard is a pic before the Tank setup.  I havent installed the clutch just yet.  I'm racing sunday and havent had time to set up the clutch yet.

Damn Skeans, where's the love?

Looks good Burns, I never knew what a dry break was before!  That is definitely one fast way to fill a quad up!

Very nice. The dry break is a must in desert racing out here.

Very curious on the auto clutch as well. Did you have to run a special clutch cover for it? I know you were looking for a special one at one point in time.

I haven't installed it. But I'm going to need to buy one. It sticks out pretty far.

Kyle, what's the special cover you are getting? I'm assuming this wont fit under a Hinson style QC cover? if has to be thicker won't the kicker hit it?

Probably going to need to get a Direct Drive cover and kicker shaft.

I have the cover figured out.  Does someone already make an extended kicker shaft?

Yeah direct drive but you have to get one of their covers.

why would you have to run one of there covers to use there extended shafts?  Help me understand, but it seems they are using a 250R stock cover.

I don't think they'll let you order just a shaft I could be wrong, one thing I have been told is the extended shafts will break the covers super easy without more shaft support.
