Post by: 250rchris420 on August 22, 2016, 01:30:43 PM
Got sucked into flat track now haha what's a good rim and tire setup to use on the 250r? I'm going to keep the front knobbys for now just want to get the rears taken care of.

Most guys running ft are using Hoosier or American Racer 18x10-10. Not sure what width rims they run.

I see alot of 10" setups I was thinking of going trying a 8?5" tire. I'm a light guy at 130lbs I think the 10's might bite a little to much in the corners but I will keep it in mind. Thank you.

They also have 18x8-10. 10x8 rim. May do better with a 8" wide tire.

Personally I would start out with 18x10x10 tires, Brand of your choice, and 10x10 wheels.....They are going to work the best on a variety of track surfaces....I only use the 10x8 combo on a certain type of blue groove track....10" everywhere else....
