Hi all, I've been fiddling with the jetting on my '86. Still running rich off idle. Machine is bone stock with air box and lid. Currently running 140 main, 32 pilot. Even with air screw out, it still rich off idle. Float height is correct, swapped choke cartridges. It did sit for quite a few years. Mid range and top it runs great. Any ideas?

Rich off idle ? Has hesitation? Idles fine i assume an has bog . Did ya clean the pilot jet good an the pilot circut using carb cleaner an compressed air . How dirty/ gummed up was the carb ?

Barely idles, idles like the choke is on. I've changed the pilot a few times trying to get it to run cleaner. Originally had a 48 pilot and 152 main, ran like the choke was on throughout the entire rpm range...would not clean out.

Wasn't too dirty, but was varnished. Came with a Chinese carb that I took off and reinstalled the original.

32 pilots is way to small. Did ya check the reeds sounds like it could be a issue. New plug ?

I realize it is too small, I was just trying to see if I could get it to run clean. I have not checked the reeds, I will check those next
