Hi All,
Soliciting feedback on what changes you would like to see added to make trx250r.org a better forum and user experience.
There are some (very good) changes that we will be testing out in upcoming weeks.
As always, thank you for your continued support and wealth of knowledge that is shared on these webpages!

This sounds like a good idea, but, by having to go through what you have to do just to get on, it may be keeping out some of these hackers & pop up adds getting imbeded into the site. Be a lot easier to just click on my faviorites & bam be here, but if it will keep the junk from coming in, leave it as it is.

No, not with my favorites. Maybe if thats what you wanted admin could set it up for you.
Everytime I click on my favorites for this site, that security page pops up, so I'm just rolling on with it like it is.

HTTPS / SSL encryption would be a nice feature.

Keep the suggestions coming guys - much of this potential overhaul (that is currently in a testing phase) is to bring the forum technology up to the latest and greatest.

Was looking on the net Saturday I believe & was a thread came up talking about the anti-virus stuff was a scam. To be true I have no idea, but from the very first day I learned how to press the button to turn on our computer, hearing about all the viruses & stuff, what better way to sell more computers than to create something to destroy computers. Makes sense to me.

No, nothing like that. Even though that would be a good idea for folks with Cancer.
I cant remember the name of the donut business, but I remember theres only one location & it is in Portland OR. Maybe he'll see this & fresh my memory.

I'd bet dollars to donut holes your referring to the one & only voodoo donuts. Had a bacon maple bar from there once, it was pretty darn good.

Ok guys the "test" forum is here. Note that content posted on the "test" forum is temporary and will not stay when we make the full migration. We just want to test functionality to ensure the new platform can offer everything we need.
Note that your current username and password will work; however, you will need to enter your password a second time on a second login / security screen.
That being said, here are a few outstanding items that are not currently in place:
- Avatars
- Forum Attachments
- Logo
- Banner Rotator
- Post Thanks/Like/Dislike
- User Tagging
- "New Posts" Tab
Please feel free to add to the above list.

Updated membergroup permissions - I think you should be able to see it now Loren.

hi, just checked out the test version. what exactly will be different on this new format? seems to be the same as what we have here, except for the even more generic look. will there be a new updated/refreshed look? would love to start participating here again, but wont until this malicious site stuff gets resolved. i think it is safe to say it is extemely hindering new member signup also.
also..... as im sure some of you have noticed, the other site has been taken over by admins who have flooded and spammed the entire thing with ad revenue click bait. this isnt in the plans i hope? please advise.

We are moving to a new forum software platform - the content will remain the same. The logos will remain and "themes" may change or be user-set. There is no intent to turn the site into a profit machine - all bills are paid by supporting vendors / sponsors.

I'm logged in to the "new" forum. Can't see the chatbox and I still got the security error using Chrome. Didn't get the security error with Firefox though.
The biggest thing for me is the security error. I'm on a PC all day at work, but even as a network engineer I can't make the changes to permit this site after it violates the security policy. I can remove spam posts and respond to other admin duties in minutes but not with the error

If your computer / anti-virus tagged the site prior, then it will still tag it on the "test" forum since it's only on a subdomain. Once we migrate to the new software, we will submit reviews to all necessary parties.
You should be good to go on the Chat Box now - had to enable Moderator viewing permissions. Sorry [MENTION=483]Tbone07[/MENTION] and [MENTION=9]Pumashine[/MENTION]
