These came on my 88 when I got it. Looks like old works shocks to me.??? The springs are broken. Are they worth rebuilding and how much would it cost? I bought some 400ex fronts just to get me rolling for now.

Worst thing you can do is call a shop and ask questions. If I remember correctly, I think Works are very similar to PEP. If so, you should call Seth @ SF Racing. He's a site sponsor and could definitely point you in the right direction.

I'll second what Tbone said. Call Seth he knows his stuff.

Cool! Thanks guys

Site sponsor schmidty also has a lot of experience with them.

stay away from works and elka. they are a pain to get set up right. custom axis, pep, motowox and etc. also, call GT thinder and see if they have anything around to build you a set of HLS.

GThunder is no more. Laz and his wife died 2 years ago in a plane crash on the way to a GNCC. Maul Tech has the HLS line now. BNR services them as well

Thanks for the correction. I guess you cant get HLS at all anymore.

Technically I guess you can still get them. They're just called "GT" shocks and Maul Tech sells them. They bought the HLS line when GThunder closed down.
