Use a straight edge to make sure its only slight low spots and no high spots.  File any high spots and it should be ok.  Not ideal, but ok.

ya I know it is not ideal the ding dose not go all the way across the  flat area betwen the crank and trany   but it goes about 3/4 across and it is on the tranny side of the flat hope sanding it down and honda bond with new gasket will stop it from leaking.

Just so we all are on the same page, Three Bond makes HondaBond. Chances are, the only actual difference is the color. Japanese companies like to put their name on products even if they don't make them, but they sell them. They consider it "total brand management".
