Finally picked up a Robl G5 450r intake from Troy, and had my buddy at HMF exhausts fabricate a no-link airbox for me. I was worried about the end product as the no-link is notorious for terrible intake and airbox setups, and I wanted something that I could easily seal up for XC races and what not. My guy hit it out of the park and I couldn't be happier. It will clear the shock with no problem and should make a ton more power. He made new mounts for the front and integrated the ESR brake reservoir holder into them. I also had him add a 1'' drain hole to make sure whatever water got in the box got out in a hurry

That's cool Tbone, do you know if he has worked on cr5 linkage setups?
-
I'm not sure but I believe he has. I don't think he has any 250r specific intakes complete, which is why I used his 450r G3 model as he mentioned Dan Hung had done something similar with his no-link
BTW I gave this thing a test ride yesterday. Initially I didn't make any jetting changes, but didn't even complete one lap on my little test XC track before I started hearing some pinging. Went up two full sizes on the main, 1 clip richer on the needle, and one size up on the pilot. The huge filter and increased airflow really wants more fuel
