I would like to ask and if this is covered in another thread please point me to it.
But I am starting a cross country build and I got a few questions about suspension and chassis options. I would like to hear options and opinions on those options for each setup and if I have overlooked a set up please add it.
No link
Cr500
Std link
Ice hears before the cr500 link loses f2f and is not a good option. Or this or that setup was intended for mx not xc, so I can see no link should have better clearance but I would say either should or has bee. Used efficiently for xc. I had read about ppl using a 440r swingarm and rear suspension and I had considered using the 450r frame with 250r engine option ,and prob. Would end up building both but I'm really wanting a new r build that feels like an r. I've had raced and built 450s in the past and it don't feel the same as the original r.so if appreciate all help with my ?s

Your post is difficult to read. Grammar matters.
Start with desired frame clearance with the tires you are going to use. Then inform your shock builder of your needs. No links provided more ground clearance but sacrifice some flexibility in setups. Stock linkage is ok and easiest to build. Cr500 has the best ride over a wide range of conditions. But it is more expensive to build. Air intakes can be a pain on both the no link and the cr500.
