Post by: hickwheeler on March 07, 2018, 02:53:15 AM
Listing this for my cousin. It is a pilot cylinder Packard motor. It is a strong running motor. Just more than what my cousin is looking for. I will try to get exactly bore and stroke dimensions. It will be just the motor. It has a hinson basket. Custom boysen rad valve. Low hours 2 dunes trip on motor. No stator flywheel or carb. 2000 shipping not included

The guy I bought it from. Had it built around 2000. He took it down to the dunes on one trip. His back went out getting it out of the trailer. They had to pull start it. He put about 4 hrs on it. Got back and that motor got put on the shelves. 16 years later he offers it up to me in a 89 roller. I buy it. Then my cousin see's it in my garage. Asks what my plans were for it. I was thinking about parting it out. He asked to buy it. So I sold it to him. So we start putting to get her the rest of the way. Ended up having to take the top end off to fix air leaks. It has a 85mm piston. Not sure on stroke. Didn't have my calipers out there when we were putting back together. But we took it out for it's maiden voyage president's Day weekend. Thing runs awesome. It's a torque monster. But my cousin realized its more than what he is wanting. He didn't think it would have as much as it did. So now for sale to do something different.

Thanks for this.  So motor is ready to go?  Info on ignition, crank, other internals might help the sale too.

Sorry no Dyno numbers, it doesn't come with ignition. I wish I knew more about the internals. Maybe I'll try to give Dennis a call. He should be able to shed some light on this stuff.
