If this was already posted please delete this thread as I didn't see it.
Very Interesting. It looks like what Eddie has been working on for a while is ready to be sold.
-
New products for our R’s? Awesome! Any other info out there? Very interesting.
-
Thanks for sharing etccb
Joe
-
I would love to see some pics of the changes he made.
-
Whoa interesting. Wish their was more info on it. Says "patent applied" makes me think this cylinder is something special
-
Looks to be a new cylinder design. The other thing interesting is the piston looks to be dished
-
It does look like a revised cylinder but I think this patent is all about that piston design. That is not just 250r innovation that is 2 stroke engine innovation. I remember reading a comment that he made awhile back about something that he has been working on for over 30 years, I would guess that this is what he was talking about. He has been posting about riding and testing a lot over the last few years and has a new pipe design out too. Eddie has been busy and more focused on the manufacturing for years but those of you that don't believe that he can make an engine run are wrong.
-
Will be interesting to see more about this. I'm definitely keeping my eye on it
-
Read the power delivery description in the yz add.
http://www.eddie-sanders-racing.com/product_p/yz325.ceo.cylinder.kit-.htm
"Incredible bottom end and top end power nothing close comes on the pipe without hesitation power band feels 3 times wider"
This explains the 1 port offering.
-
Just imagine this motor when Arlen gets ahold of it
-
Cool stuff. Wonder why we haven't seen much of this before?
-
I can't wait to see what the cylinder head looks like.
-
I can't wait to see what the cylinder head looks like.
If the piston dome is concaved, conventional wisdom would have a flat head. Food for thought.
-
It doesn't look dished enough to have a completely flat head. At least to my untrained eye

Agreed. Speculation is killing me. Who’s making some phone calls? Love to know the inside poop!
-
I have a screen shot from a post on Facebook ill try to send u Gene.
-
Sure
-
Eddie posted this awhile back. Assuming it’s related to the new CEO cylinder. Also notice the CEO clutch cover.
-
Thanks for posting that, looking forward to seeing this kit roll out and real-world results.
-
I drove by ESR on the Sunday before New Year’s. There was no sign up and looked like he was in the process of moving. There was still a lot of stuff there.
-
That pipe looks ridiculous. I love it. Can't wait to see what all this is about. Got me all excited!

I heard awhile back he was in the process of moving to Oregon
-
i am going to assume the piston is concave and the head/dome is convex (based on the pictures). the piston is also interesting. that hole in the one side got me scratching my head.
-
How long until big dog turd tries to claim they invented this.

I remember back in the day Jim Duncan would window the 85-86 pistons for his R cylinders so I had James Dodge cut a rectangle hole in the back of one of my short rod pistons when he bored the cylinder. He said the main reason for the hole is to help with cooling... I'm with Fred & hickwheeler on the head design. A convex squish band wouldn't work.

anyone buy this yet?

anyone buy this yet?
With the new CPI cylinder coming out, and this ESR CEO cylinder, it'll be cool to see how they compare
-
I like the nikisil on the CPI cylinders but it’s hard to beat the price of the ESR. I’d probably go Esr or whatever Arlen (LED) recommends.

Agreed. Sounds like performance can be pretty equal between the same-sized cylinders but the CPI may take an edge on casting quality. Is that worth the few extra hundred bucks? To each their own - I'm debating that on the spare duner motor rebuild/build right now. Eddie's new stuff would be fun to try out.
-
I wouldn't do anything with the cpi until you learn more about this ceo. Hopefully it works out to where he is protected because it will be copied by others if it works like stated and he is the one that took on all of the development costs and risks.

Not to hijack this thread too much but I don't have the time to wait - motor is already apart so need to decide soon. And while I hope ESR's CEO works out great, it's too soon to know for sure. So some of you should buy up and post feedback!
-
Same for the lynx being new and unknown though but I get it on both accounts.
Someone posted somewhere about seeing eddie play at the pismo drag strip with his stock swingarm ceo trx and it being very fast compared to the other full drag setups that were there.
I will buy a loto ticket on my way home tonight.
-
I'd like to know if Arlan had anything to do with either of these two new cylinders. I know he has a great relationship with CPI and ESR.
Regardless, it's awesome to have two companies still producing these parts. And even more, putting serious R&D into them.

^^ Agreed! Two stand-up Gentlemen, with integrity and honestly. No hidden BS, or lies!

Some info from Eddie
-
Piston....
-
Dished! Wow! I love it. Is Arlen involved?
-
Some info from Eddie
sounds like he is doing with a carb and etc. (CEO), what evinrude has done with a direct injection-EFI. allowing low rpm torque to take place in a 2 stroke.
maybe this is a poor coorelation, but i can't yet comprehend how this works.
-
This CEO thing is all Eddie Sanders and Arlen was not involved with this. It answers a lot of questions about what eddie has been posting about for a couple of years now. He has had covers on his quad in photos for a while with ceo lettering if you look as his 2 fb pages. Arlen may be selling ceo kits like the other esr kits that he sells.
-
Anybody get their hands on one of these kits yet? I'd like to hear what @Jerry Hall thinks about this kit too
-
I can't wait to see some feedback. Surely someone has it by now. If I had the cash I would be the test mule in a heartbeat lol
-

Be interesting to see what it does I sure miss reading @JerryHall posts

So do I. I hope he's doing well. I miss his and Dave RSS396's contributions
-
I would love to hear Jerry’s opinion. He is well. My son had him on the phone last week. He works on everything.
-
Eddie's got a new 81mm CEO out in a few months.

-
Very interesting looking. Nice to see his cylinders progressing
-
Mmmmm... 390cc stroker sounds pretty awesome.
-
Would definitely put a smile on you face Myles
-
Mmmmm... 390cc stroker sounds pretty awesome.
I just dropped parts off to build a 391, but sadly not the ceo
-
I'm sure that thing is gonna rip, Loren!
-
The water is entering on the ex side of the cylinder. This is a very interesting new cylinder design. Thank You ESR for your continued investments and hard work into the 250r.
-
Very cool. It is also available for up to +6 stroke. 81 x 78 sounds like an awesome set up.
-
I read about the reversed coolant flow just the other day. Really cool stuff.
If I could just get rid of about 9 other hobbies I would have one of these jugs already lol.
-
Carlen Gardner got 2nd overall at the world 2 stroke championships on a ESR CEO PV yz250.
He went 3-1 winning moto 2 for 2nd overall.
The hills and ruff track of Glen Helen along with this field of riders and equipment were a good test of the ESR CEO.
I read or heard somewhere that he lost his rear brakes while in 2nd in moto 1 so this was a close shot at an overall run but 2nd is still a great result at this event.

anyone have one yet? reviews?
-
I don't personally own one, nor have I piloted an R with one. I did however ride with Eddie Sanders himself at the 2019 Winchester dunes meet. Eddie had a 391 coe that flat out ripped. It seemed like it had more power all around then my regular esr 391 cylinder.
