Right around 2 years ago I bought my son an 86 250R. It was cheap, ran decent, and he loved it. This last summer we were at the west coast R meet in Winchester bay, Oregon and it started making a swooshing noise from the bottom end. I have been working 72 hour work weeks so I pulled the engine out and brought it to Pete at hybrid engineering. He found the crank tins were damaged, the clutch hub was falling off, and the transmission was missing thrust washers. I have the engine back in the frame and am about to install the exhaust.

Funny thing about his R is it had some old woolly booger tires on it when I bought it. We named it the "woolly booger "

I had Pete us a OEM cylinder that had mild port work and a 66.25mm bore. I have no idea who ported the cylinder. It came off an 86 ATC that my buddy bought from a guy that brought it up from California
