Title: just wondering what db is a 400ex

my 01 400ex has a LRD header and slip on. and im not worried about it but it seems louder than most 450r's it needs repacked but just wondering what Db rating you guys think it might be.

The 4-strokes with aftermarket exhaust are definitely loud but it's going to depend on what exhaust you have & what's been done to the engine. It's not hard to break 100db... Some 4-strokes can have that annoying ear piercing pop to them that's for sure.

there has been no work done to the motor as far as i know though i think it has a cam in it cause its hard to start and there is a pop and it dies when its warming up but that could be the back pressure from the exhaust. and it has a LRD 25 year annivarsary exhaust. wich are different from the regular ones. i am pretty sure its about 105-110.

Download a free decibel meter with your phone and check it (and then check your fart too)
