Howdy fellas, I seem to have a pile of junk flywheels! I could definitely use 1-2. So if you have one and don't need it let me know.
Thanks Loren

Couldn't you just tighten the rivets as much as you can, and then TIG weld the hub to the shell. If the shell so really loose, drill out a rivet (or two) to see the location of the shell to the hub, and then weld. Sounds like a simple fix to me.

I weld the flywheel on every engine I work on if I see the rust streaks of the face of the flywheel going radially outward from the rivets. The rust streaks are an indication that there is some back lash before it can be felt by hand. Once the rivets get loose enough that you can feel back lash between the hub and flywheel, it is next to impossible to get the flywheel centered before welding. I have welded a few of these where back lash could be felt and they would usually cause engine vibration or sometimes rub the stator.

The flywheel magnets are broken/loose so not really sure anything can be done. I do have one with rust streaks coming out around the hub.
Jerry, are you seal welding the hub or just laying down a short weld at every rivet? I would assume that a small amount of weld at each rivet is the best procedure.
