Passing info along. These case fillers are available from CP Industries.

So I'm not really understanding the purpose of these ? Are they only needed for cases that are bored oversize for big bores ? Are they installed before the cylinder diameter in the case is machined ? Why dimple the cylinder side if it will be machined away ?If that is the case, then what is done with the open areas in the cylinder base, wouldn't you want fillers for those too ? Never seen them, but are they available ? If the base gasket can seal the base of the cylinder, then why wouldn't it seal the case also ?

These are used for big bore cylinders on OEM cases. Mainly aluminum sleeved cylinders because of the extra thickness of the cylinder skirt. The cases are bored out so much that something is needed to fill in that area of the cases. I believe before these existed they just filled the area with epoxy and machined it out to the size required.

OK i understand that, but what about the voids in the base of the cylinder ? Do those get filled in with epoxy ? Do these fillers have the same effect of filling in the holes in the crank with a nylon type of material (smaller crankcase volume) ?

Those voids in the base of the cylinder should be blocked off with gaskets, and not open to the crankcase.
