Title: Remembering a fellow R rider
Post by: croat1 on April 12, 2021, 07:14:04 PM
Guys, hontrx265r is no longer with us.  Michael passed a little over a week ago.  Michael was an electrical genius.  His quad builds were over the top.  The kind of quads that were masterpieces.  While I never met Michael in person I had many online talks with him to the point I considered him a friend.

Unfortunately I will never get the opportunity to shake his hand.  I’ll never get the chance to ride Glamis with him.  I’ll never again get the chance to talk shop with him.

Michael, RIP my friend.  My heart is broken.  I’ll never forget you brother.

Please keep Michael’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

This was Michael’s last build.  Michael’s last ride.....

Joe

Joe thanks for writing this up and posting this.

Loss is so hard, especially for those close to us.  I didn’t know Mike beyond 250R’s but he was great to talk with and a wealth of knowledge, a real asset to our community.  And that’s how I will remember his legacy.  Every time I start my bike or turn on the lights, I’ll smile and think of what an awesome custom wiring harness & DC setup he made for my bike.

Ride on brother, until we meet again.

What? I was just in contact with him about a custom harness. He was very active on the Roll FB page. Sad loss for the R community.

Are you sure you have the right Michael?  I was just messaging him a couple weeks ago.  He’s very active on Facebook.

No!  I googled his name and state and it says he was in a wrong way crash.   Sounds like a horrific accident.  5 killed in total.  Pronounced dead on the scene.  Terrible.  He seemed like a great guy.  Super knowledgeable on Trx250R and had some of the best builds.  So shocked.  He has young children too. RIP.

I had a big paragraph written about our lost brother. But it’s probably best to keep it short. I’ll miss you buddy. Glad you got a chance to build your Mona Lisa and enjoy it for a short while. RIP.

Terribly sorry Kyle.  I don’t want to post it here but you can find plenty online should you Google his name + Arizona.  He was a great guy for the R world, doesn’t surprise me one bit he was such a supporter of your race efforts Kyle.
