Hi guys looking for recommendations on front and rear wheel offsets. I want to set my project R up in a MX style quad. I am looking at 2 different front arm set ups. Elka legacy with roll Mx arms. Which front wheel off set will get the quad to 50” inches in the front? 4/1 or 3/2 ? Other set up I am looking at is lone star sport +2+1 arms with 450r stock shocks. What wheel off set works well with this set up? I have been looking at wheels I think I want 10x5 in front with 8x8 in back. Should the back be wider than the front or the same? Maybe shorter than the front?

I believe plus 3 arms with 4:1 wheels will get you close. I’d contact Roll Design to see what they say as far as what spindles to use on their set up.
For the rear I’d get a RPM axle and run it a bit narrower than the front.

I believe 4/1 in the front is the best choice for handling. 3/5 for the rear is a good choice. My R is a duner only so I can't give advice for mx, but 4/1 front and 3/5 rear is what I have. I also have +3+1 front A-Arms and a +4 lonestar axle. Add in the ccp steering stabilizer and it is a very good handling machine. Now I am just waiting on a set of axis shocks!

I talked to roll about spindles, but didn’t talk wheel offset. I definitely will if I decide to go that route. Roll design told me the roll design arms come with 2 different style spindle set ups for 250r.
86-89 stock spindles same as 04-05 450r
400ex spindles same as 06-14 450r
If I go with stock spindles and bolt roll design arms I could upgrade to 04-06 450r spindles without changing anything on the arms.
Anybody got any experience with the Alba bead lock wheels?

Don’t forget if you go to 400ex spindles you have to either use the 400ex calipers or get caliper adapters to run 250R calipers. If you go with 450 spindles you have to use the 450 brakes.
I haven’t heard anything bad about the Alba wheels. I never ran them. For the price I guess guys are good with them. I always ran oem or Douglas (DWT). The DWT are hard to find now due to being on back order.
