After a 9 month hiatus I started reassembling an engine & needed a seal driver for the stator side to get the depth set. After spending a fair amount of time looking for something to repurpose I finally found the perfect part to modify. It was an anti-fade I got in a parts lot awhile back that was missing the cap. It is now a seal driver:

Nice work! I struggled with this myself last year and I wish I had your skills.

Thank you... I honestly would have messed this up though if I hadn't asked Loren what the proper depth was. I measured the depth of the old seal before I took it out & it was set at .325" deep so that's what I was going to machine the driver depth to but the proper depth is no more than 6mm. This forum & it's members are life savers when we work on these old R's.

Thats what I was gonna say. More like 1/4" or 6mm in depth.

Nice!
I always just used the stator to push it in? Does the stator not push it in far enough?
